Gumline Cavity Restoration

Gum Line recession and abrasion is an all too common condition caused by the receding or pullback of the delicate gum tissue around the base of the tooth. These areas are many time sensitive to temperature changes, sweets, brushing and touch. They are also more susceptible to root surface cavity as these areas are lacking the hard enamel surface that the rest of the crown has. A tooth colored dental restorative material can be used to fill in and cover these areas, protecting the area from further wear , decreasing the sensitivity, and many times improving the cosmetic appearance of having the root exposed.
